Consortia President, Dan Caldwell, traveled to Washington D.C. this week to participate on a panel of industry experts exploring how broadband providers can comply with the Open Internet Order and what the new FCC rules mean for their business operations. The session at the NTCA Telecom Policy event also explored the FCC’s classification of broadband Internet access service as a Title II telecommunications service, and how to best comply with the Title II provisions applicable to broadband.
While in Washington, Dan Caldwell and Consortia CEO, Rhonda Maun, also took part in planned visits to congressional offices on Capitol Hill to discuss policy changes proposed by the FCC and current issues of industry importance. “Consortia continues to believe staying engaged in regulatory and legislative advocacy processes is vitally important for our industry, our clients and our company,” said Caldwell. “We appreciate the opportunity to have our views heard on Capitol Hill.”
